Offering the convenience a tailgate-mount with the big-tire capacity of a swing-away, the Bestop® Oversize Tire Carrier utilizes load-bearing mounting brackets which bolt to the strong sub-structure of the Jeep®, while a second set of non-load-bearing brackets attaches to the tailgate. These, along with a unique articulating mechanism, make the tailgate and the tire carrier open and close as a single unit and give it a hefty load rating of 200 pounds.
