This socket replaces the remote socket on all Warn winches that have internally grounded solenoids.  If your solenoids have only 1 small control wire plus the 2 large posts then this is probably the socket you need.  If your solenoids have 2 small wires connected, 1 being a ground wire, then your solenoids are externally grounded and this is not the socket you need.

 

This socket is also used to update old winches that have the 4 prong metal socket.  You will also need a new remote, part number WAR-38826, in that case.
